Ford Performance Parts 460 BOSS Short Blocks
Ready to experience some unbridled horsepower? Ford Performance Parts has engineered a way to stuff an amazing 460 cu. in. of power beneath the hood of your musclecar–the 460 BOSS short block! These engine foundations are 351 small block Ford-based, made from the internally balanced BOSS 4-bolt main block with 9.5 in. deck height; they have 4.150 in. bore x 4.250 in. stroke. The engine builders at Ford Performance Parts included forged steel 6.125 in. H-beam connecting rods and a 4.250 in. forged steel crankshaft. The 460 BOSS is your starting point for massive power in a tight package.

* Boss cast iron 4-bolt main block M-6010-BOSS35195 with 9.5 in. deck height
* .005″ below piston to deck height (nominal)
* SCAT forged steel, 4.250 in. stroke crankshaft
* SCAT forged steel H-beam 6.125 in. length connecting rods with floating pins and ARP bolts
* Mahle 4.150 in. bore forged, with reliefs for Z304D, Z304P, N351, and other inline valve Windsor cylinder heads
* 30cc piston dish; check piston to valve clearance
* Compatible with most aftermarket performance cylinder heads; pistons designed for 20 degree valve angle heads and will fit stock or spread valve guide centerlines.
* Designed for M-6049-X306/X307/Z304DA cylinder heads. Not designed for production 302/351W or M-6049-Y302/Y303/X302/X303/X304/X305 cylinder heads
* Compatible with hydraulic roller camshafts
