I recently purchased the Generac 800 Amp ATS 120/240 3 Phase NEMA 3R Cabinet from Hammer Engines. While it does its job and has some strong points, there were a few things that left me feeling a bit underwhelmed.
First, the good: the cabinet itself is well-built and solidly constructed. It definitely feels like it can handle tough conditions, and the NEMA 3R rating gives me peace of mind that it’s weather-resistant for outdoor use. The switching mechanism works effectively for transferring power, and it operates reliably once everything is set up.
However, the installation process was not as smooth as I had hoped. The instructions could have been clearer, and I ended up spending more time than expected figuring out certain steps. For a product in this price range, I think the documentation could be improved significantly.
Another issue I noticed is that it’s quite noisy during operation. While it’s not a dealbreaker, the noise level is noticeable enough to be a little distracting. Additionally, given the cost, I expected a more polished experience overall.
Hammer Engines was great to deal with, and the customer service was responsive when I had questions about the installation.
In the end, it’s a decent product that gets the job done, but it doesn’t quite feel like the premium experience I was expecting at this price point. If you’re okay with putting in a bit of extra effort during setup and can deal with some minor drawbacks, it’s a functional option.

I purchased the Brassworks 10-27H T-Bucket radiator from Hammer Engines, and overall, I’m really happy with it! Right out of the box, it’s clear this radiator is high-quality. The craftsmanship is excellent, and the brass finish gives it a classic, polished look that fits perfectly with the vintage style of my T-Bucket build.
In terms of performance, it’s done a fantastic job so far. My engine runs cooler even on long drives or in stop-and-go traffic, which was a major reason I went with this radiator. It’s efficient, and I haven’t experienced any overheating issues since installing it. The fit was spot-on, and installation was straightforward, which I really appreciated.
The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the price. While I understand you’re paying for quality, it is on the higher end, and I think it could be just a little more affordable. That said, you do get what you pay for, and I don’t regret the investment at all.
Overall, I’m very satisfied with this radiator and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and stylish option for their T-Bucket or hot rod. Hammer Engines delivered a great product, and I’d gladly buy from them again!

I also reached out to customer service when the problems started, and while they were polite, the support wasn’t very helpful. They offered a few troubleshooting tips, but none of them worked, and I felt like I was going in circles. In the end, I didn’t feel like my concerns were fully addressed.
The only reason I’m giving this two stars instead of one is because it does work—just not consistently or reliably for me. I can’t say it’s completely useless, but it’s far from what I was expecting when I made the purchase.
I wouldn’t recommend this product to anyone unless you’re okay with dealing with potential issues and some frustration. It’s been a disappointing experience overall, and I regret spending my money on this.
