100 Amp Transfer Switches ASCO 185 Series

The Non-SE Rated ASCO 100 Amp Generator Transfer Switch Powers only essential or critical loads located in a subpanel separate from the main circuit breaker panel. During a power outage, the 100 Amp Automatic Transfer Switch disconnects the essential load panel from the main panel and provides power to the subpanel from the generator. Only the essential and critical loads connected to circuit breakers in the subpanel receive power. The NEMA 3R aluminum enclosure makes the transfer switch suitable for indoor and outdoor installations.

ASCO Transfer Switches make sure the power stays on when utility power fails. When utility power returns, the ASCO ATS switches the home or business back to utility power and begins generator cool-down.

Compatible with any two-wire start generator system, The 100 Amp Automatic Transfer Switch monitors the utility power 24/7. When an outage occurs or power quality falls below an acceptable level, the transfer switch starts the generator and waits as the engine warms and the speed stabilizes. Once the generator is ready, the ATS isolates the utility from the subpanel and supplies generator power to the home or business.

ASCO 185 100 Amp Transfer Switch Recommended Accessories

• The ASCO Strip Heater is recommended for extremely cold climates to prevent condensation from freezing inside the transfer switch. A frozen switch may not transfer the load to the generator during a power outage. The Strip Heater is operated by a thermostat and requires an external 120-Volt source. Available as a kit only available for mounting by the end user.
• The 14A/14B auxiliary contacts indicate the position of the main contacts. One contact each for the normal and emergency positions. Available as a kit only for mounting by the end user in 100-Amp, 200-Amp, and 230 Amp ASCO 185 Transfer Switches.
