Onan Quiet Diesel Generator 12500
The Onan Quiet Diesel Generator 12500 meets CARB and EPA requirements in all 50 states for diesel-powered generator applications including RV Motorhomes. The generator set incorporates digital voltage regulation and frequency control with a pure sine wave output that won’t harm electronics. Overload protected by a 50-Amp, 2-Pole circuit breaker. Includes a waterproof connector for remote operation and bulkhead-type fuel and battery connections. Timed glow plugs ensure fast starts and an electric fuel pump provides reliable fuel delivery.

The Onan Quiet Diesel Generator 12500 meets all National Park Service sound level requirements of 60dBA or less at fifty feet. Expect less than 70 dBA at 10 feet—most installations lower the sound below tested specifications. The generator set is fully enclosed within a sound-insulated cabinet, including the USDA-approved, spark-arresting muffler. A focalized mounting system reduces vibration. An intake silencer further reduces noise for smooth, quiet operation.

Cummins equipped the Onan RV Diesel Generator with onboard diagnostics and troubleshooting via the microprocessor-based controller. The controller regulates voltage within ±2 percent and the frequency within ±0.1 percent which exceed ANSO/RVIA requirements. Safety features protect the Onan 12.5 kW Generator from low oil, overvoltage, over speed, and over crank conditions. Fused DC circuits protect the controller. The generator set’s on-board hour meter can assist with on-time maintenance.
The RV Generator Set Quiet Diesel Series RV QD 12500 has a three-year limited warranty that covers everything within the first two years except maintenance and maintenance supplies. Cummin’s Onan RV Diesel Generator warranty covers parts and labor on major power train and generator set parts in the third year. A 90-day adjustment policy provides for minor adjustments during the first three months.
