Description

Dual 200 Amp Split 400 Amp Automatic Transfer Switch

The Briggs and Stratton 200 Amp Split 400 Amp Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) with Service Entrance Disconnect has a NEMA 3R enclosure for indoor and outdoor use. This single phase 2-pole dual generator transfer switch fits homes with 400-Amp service split between two main circuit breaker panels. Its Service Entrance Disconnect Rating allows installation with circuit breaker panels rated for 200 amps with or without a main circuit breaker.

Split 400 Amp service “splits” the incoming utility power between two main circuit breaker panels, each rated for half the utility service. The Dual 200 Amp Split 400 Amp ATS is a pair of transfer switches in a single enclosure that work together, supplying both panels in the event of a power outage.

Operation: When the power goes out, the generator starts within a few seconds. The ATS disconnects the utility lines from the home and then connects the generator, restoring power just seconds after it goes out. With the Dual 200 Amp Split 400 Amp Transfer Switch, both circuit breaker panels receive power from the generator. The Dual ATS enables a neat installation at lower a lower cost than a two transfer switch installation.

Power Management: Symphony II Power Management disconnects heavy loads unless the generator has sufficient power for the load. Heavy loads receive a priority during installation. Higher priority loads run first. Lower Priority loads only run if power is available—typically when higher priority loads have completed their cycle or are not in use.

Briggs and Stratton 200 Amp Split 400 Amp Automatic Transfer Switch

The Briggs and Stratton 200 Amp Split 400 Amp Automatic Transfer Switch is an important part of your generator system. A permanent connection to your home’s electrical system allows your Briggs and Stratton standby generator to operate automatically. A standby generator installation requires an automatic transfer switch.

This UL Listed 1008 ATS includes Symphony II power management—the ability to manage loads according to the power available.

Includes a Briggs and Stratton 7-Year Warranty.
